At eight years old, I made my first pair of sandals from cardboard.

Years later, while raising my son and attending college in Kingston, Jamaica, I found my way back to that same creative spark. I taught myself sandal making through YouTube, guidance from local craftsmen, and countless hours of trial and error.

In 2015, I launched Lucy Sandals JA with just two designs and a belief that handmade work still matters. What began as a small passion project grew beyond anything I imagined, reaching women across multiple countries.

In April 2024, the brand evolved into Lucean Knecole—a tribute to my own name and the journey that brought me here. While the name changed, the heart behind the work remained the same.

Every pair is handcrafted with intention and carries a piece of the curiosity, determination, and creativity of that little girl who first turned cardboard into sandals.

Today, every woman who chooses to walk in my designs becomes part of that story.
