My sandal journey began at eight years old, when I crafted my first pair. I didn’t know it then, but that moment sparked a lifelong passion for design. Over the years, I’ve drawn inspiration from around the world, always blending it with the vibrant Jamaican spirit I was raised in.

As a single mom and college student in Kingston, Jamaica, life wasn’t always easy. But those challenges pushed me forward. With encouragement from loved ones, I taught myself the art of sandal-making—mixing tutorials, local guidance, and plenty of trial and error.

In 2015, I launched my first brand, Lucy Sandals JA, with just two styles. What began as a small dream grew into dozens of designs, handcrafted with intention and love.

By April 2024, I felt it was time for a new chapter—one that reflected not only the growth of my craft, but also my journey as a woman, mother, and entrepreneur. That’s when Lucy Sandals JA evolved into Lucean Knecole.

Today, I create more than 68 designs—made to celebrate individuality, empower women, and remind you to stand tall: comfortable and unapologetically yourself.
