My journey with sandals began when I was eight years old, crafting my very first pair out of cardboard. That small moment sparked a lifelong love for creating with my hands.

Years later, while living in Kingston, Jamaica as a single mom and college student, that passion resurfaced. I began teaching myself how to make sandals — learning from YouTube, local craftsmen, and a lot of trial and error.

In 2015, I launched my first brand, Lucy Sandals JA, starting with just two designs. What began as a small dream gradually grew into handcrafted styles worn by women around the world.

In April 2024, the brand evolved into Lucean Knecole, reflecting how both the brand and I have grown over the years and bringing my name to the forefront of the designs I continue to create.

What began with a child’s curiosity and a pair of cardboard sandals has grown into a journey that continues to shape every design today.

And with every pair created, that journey continues — shared with the women who wear them.
